USPS Rate Changes on Stamps.com<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>See how these changes will impact the discounts we offer Stamps.com customers on USPS rates below starting October 5, 2025, with no announced end date. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even with these changes, you\u2019ll continue to access USPS rates lower than standard Commercial pricing\u2014<strong>saving up to 87% when you ship through Stamps.com<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Ground Advantage\u2122:<\/strong> Average increase of 4.6%. Greatest impact on packages under 1 lb. Enjoy savings up to <strong>$4.43<\/strong> and discounts up to <strong>18.7% off Commercial Rates<\/strong> for heavier parcels. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ground Advantage\u2122 Cubic:<\/strong> Average increase of 5.2%. USPS Rate Changes on Stamps.com<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>See how these changes will impact the discounts we offer Stamps.com customers on USPS rates below.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even with these changes, you&#8217;ll still access<strong> shipping rates lower than USPS Commercial Rates<\/strong>, and continue to see savings of <strong>up to 87%<\/strong> when you ship USPS through Stamps.com.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Ground Advantage\u2122:<\/strong> Overall, rates will increase by about 1.9%, with most increases seen for packages under a pound. You will enjoy savings of up to $4.43 and discounts of up to 15.3% off Commercial Rates for packages over a pound.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ground Advantage\u2122 Cubic:<\/strong> Prices will not change at this time, and you will access savings of up to $1.69 and discounts of up to 20.5% off Commercial Rates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Priority Mail\u00ae: <\/strong>This service had the largest increase by about 10.8%, with savings of up to $4.71 and discounts of up to 13.5% off Commercial Rates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Priority Mail\u00ae Flats Rate:<\/strong> Rates increased by about 5.8%, with savings of up to $2.80 in some areas and discounts of up to 13.4% off Commercial Rates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Priority Mail\u00ae Cubic:<\/strong> Rates increased by about 7.0%, offering savings of up to $2.33 and discounts of up to 13.5% off Commercial Rates.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2-retail-and-commercial-price-changes-0\">2. Retail and Commercial Price Changes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>USPS is making <a href=\"https:\/\/about.usps.com\/newsroom\/national-releases\/2025\/0509-usps-recommends-new-shipping-services-prices-for-2025.htm\">adjustments to Retail and Commercial Shipping Rates<\/a> starting July 13, 2025.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>USPS rates will raise domestic shipping service prices by approximately:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>6.3% for Priority Mail\u00ae<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>7.1% for USPS Ground Advantage\u2122<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>7.6% for Parcel Select\u00ae<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prices are not changing for Priority Mail Express service.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>USPS will implement changes to mailing services, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>First-Class Mail Forever stamp: $0.73 \u2192 $0.78.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Metered First-Class Mail Letters (1 oz): 69\u00a2 \u2192 74\u00a2<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Domestic Postcards: 56\u00a2 \u2192 61\u00a2<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>International Letters\/Postcards (1 oz): $1.65 \u2192 $1.70<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Additional Ounce Letter Rate: 28\u00a2 \u2192 29\u00a2<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A quick reminder:<\/strong> The stamps you print on Stamps.com are not Forever stamps. This means you&#8217;ll need to print <strong>additional postage<\/strong> after July 13th to cover the new rate when mailing items with these stamps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-3-new-nonstandard-fee-for-package-characteristics\">3. New Nonstandard Fee for Package Characteristics<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting July 13, 2025, USPS will now charge the Nonstandard Fee based not only on size and weight, but also on specific package characteristics, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cylindrical tubes or rolls.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A can, a wooden, or a metal box.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A parcel containing more than 24 ounces of liquid in glass containers, or 1 gallon or more of liquid in metal or plastic containers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other (e.g., parcels prepared with contents that may cause the parcel to roll or not maintain the integrity of the packaging during processing)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This fee applies to all USPS package services, just as the existing nonstandard fee does. For Priority Mail and Ground Advantage, this package surcharge will be $4.00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Learn more about this new fee on <a href=\"https:\/\/postalpro.usps.com\/july-2025-release-overview\">Page 11<\/a> and view <a href=\"https:\/\/postalpro.usps.com\/july-2025-release-overview\">Page 17<\/a> for an image demonstrating the dimensional weight and the four types of nonstandard fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-january-2025-rate-changes\">January 2025 Rate Changes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On <strong>January 19, 2025<\/strong>, the USPS will implement a number of important rate changes that could affect your business. Let\u2019s dive into the key updates you need to know:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-1-peak-demand-surcharges-end\">1. Peak Demand Surcharges End<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To manage the holiday rush, USPS introduced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stamps.com\/article\/what-are-demand-surcharges\/\">peak demand surcharges<\/a> that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stamps.com\/article\/usps-2024-holiday-surcharges\/\">went into effect on <strong>October 6, 2024<\/strong><\/a>. These surcharges <strong>will end on<\/strong> <strong>January 19, 2025<\/strong>. Once they expire, mailing and shipping prices will return to \u201cnormal,\u201d meaning the seasonal surcharges will no longer be added.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2-usps-price-changes\">2. USPS Price Changes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>USPS implemented service rate changes starting on January 19, 2025. See how these changes will impact the discounts we offer Stamps.com customers on USPS rates:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Ground Advantage\u2122<\/strong>: Overall, rates decreased by approximately 0.5%, with savings up to $3.03. However, some packages under one pound saw an increase of about 1.3%.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ground Advantage\u2122 Cubic<\/strong>: Prices dropped by about 1.2%, offering savings of up to $1.69.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Priority Mail\u00ae<\/strong>: This service saw the largest decrease, down about 5.7%, with some rates dropping as much as $10.50.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Priority Mail\u00ae Flat Rate<\/strong>: Rates decreased by about 1.7%, with savings up to $1.30 in some areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Priority Mail Cubic\u00ae<\/strong>: Prices decreased by about 3.4%, offering savings of up to $4.88 in certain areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Great news! You\u2019ll continue to enjoy best-in-class discounts on USPS rates when you print stamps or shipping labels through Stamps.com. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-3-changes-to-the-rural-zip-code-list\">3. Changes to the Rural ZIP Code List<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In September 2024, USPS identified a specific list of rural ZIP Codes. The updated list now reflects 12 fewer rural ZIP Codes, with some being removed and others added. To check if a particular ZIP Code is affected by these changes, please contact our support team for assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-4-postage-price-changes\">4. Postage Price Changes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>USPS is making <a href=\"https:\/\/about.usps.com\/newsroom\/national-releases\/2024\/1115-usps-recommends-new-competitive-prices-for-2025.htm\">adjustments to Retail and Commercial Shipping Rates<\/a> starting January 19, 2025.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s important to note that the Postal Service will <strong>not<\/strong> be raising prices in January for Mailing Services, therefore, <strong>the price of a First-Class\u2122 Stamp will remain unchanged.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These adjustments aim to keep USPS competitive while addressing its revenue needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-5-new-live-animal-and-perishable-handling-fees\">5.
